Mersey Wave

Artist's impression of MerseywaveArts in Regeneration worked in Speke & Garston schools to tie in with the opening of Peter Fink's Mersey Wave sculpture that will act as a gateway to South Liverpool.


 


G-Litter

The G-Litter festival 2004The Liverpool bid to become European Capital of Culture gave opportunities for AiR's training programmes to interact with the city's ''Goodbye Litter" festival, with visual arts and performance modules of the work producing images, costumes, percussion and dance which were presented in the city centre finale event.


 


Learning to Play Play to Learn

Butterfly imageA collaboration between AiR and Surestart Speke, a pilot programme was devised to encourage creative, accessible play between parents and young children in the Speke area.

Alternative Curriculum

Student paintingWorking in close partnership with local schools, we can offer a programme aimed at engaging 14 to 16 year olds, ultimately re-intergrating them within mainstream education. Working on a low student-to-tutor ratio, purposefully away from the school premises, they benefit from a stimulating and rewarding environment.

Student with frameIn partnership with Speke Garston EAZ, we have worked with schools on a variety of art-based projects. The aim has been to use digital media to creatively enhance curriculum studies. The programme has run over a three year period and has resulted in a number of excellent projects over a wide range of age groups.
